- : What projects are you referring to?
-
- The projects that were headed by many of the engineers who left to form
- Be and join other companies like HP, Sun, and IBM. Apple gutted a huge
- number of their talented engineers and now wonders why the college grads
- aren't performing. To them "5 engineers" is all the same, except it's
- cheaper to pay newbies.

- : Apple is no Commodore. Sheesh..There are no simmilarities.
-
- Oh get a clue! Are you *completely* blind, or just legally blind!? They
- are so similar it's frightening. Step out of your mindless advocacy box
- and take a cold look at it. Apple is going through MUCH of the same
- things Commodore went through, and primarily for the same reasons: bad
- management.
-
- Apple's 'AGA' is their cooperative multitasking and their 'AAA' is still
- past Copland (full preemptive multitasking). Spindler is driving the
- company into the ground!
-
- Look at their stock for the past 1 - 1.5 years. Even that looks almost
- identical to Commodore.

- : He he he he..Please...Apple is not going out of business.
-
- Get your head out of the sand. Apple going under (if not purchased) is a
- distinct possibility. Maybe you like in a pocket of support for Apple, but
- many stores have started cutting back on Apple products to the point where
- they only get one shelf now. I'm talking about major chains as much as the
- local ones.
-
- : Apple is not going under. If for some reason Apple HQ is struck by lighting,
- : the torch will be passed onto PowerComputing..
-
- You are VERY naive. Power Computing is currently relying heavily on Apple
- R&D. Power Computing can NOT outbid Microsoft or IBM if either of those
- companies decides to buy and bury the Macintosh platform - only to
- incorporate what they like in their own operating systems. (Nor do they
- have the resources to fully develop the machine and operating system)

- Amiga may not survive as a viable platform in the future. If the wall
- that is Macintosh is broken, companies like IBM and Microsoft are going
- to launch a full scale assault on europe with *cheap* machines and more
- power.

- : Lets see, Apple had the best period of Mac sales in their history.
-
- And yet they STILL lost $68 MILLION in spite of the fact that they just
- had their best sales ever. Can you add 2 + 2?
